Founded by Ian Farquhar in 2008, for the past nine years, farquhar tech has provided IT technology services for small businesses and home offices. At the beginning, we mostly made house calls to repair broken laptop screens, fix home networks, or replicate dead hard drives. We used our economical repair business to fund new hardware, rent shared servers, and pursue education and certification.

Our pursuit of emerging technologies led us down a road of rapidly developing software and consistently immersed us in cutting-edge infrastructure. We’ve built relationships with key industry leaders and established our own matrices for web security as we grew, (i.e. our own automated SnapShot cloud backup and recovery). One of our niche early services was a hosting solution for web designers that ensures disaster recovery, allows for expansion, offers 99.9% reliability, and implements key security measures. We’ve been developing this host environment for years and now offer it to anyone looking for a more refined approach to web hosting.

Being Bend-born and deeply immersed into the Bend, Oregon, community, we’ve identified needs that have been going unmet, such as our networking solutions. Realtors and construction companies often get in touch with us early so that we can help guide the architecture so that a business will be designed from the ground up in a way to enable them to put all the available band-width and IT technology to use without any problems.
